Moorestown Approves
GRIFFIN Infill Project
Moorestown, 22 February 2008 - On Valentine’s
Day, it was love at first sight for the Moorestown Planning Board. They voted
unanimously to give final site plan approval to a new 6100 SF office building
in GRIFFIN CONSTRUCTION’s 704 East Main Street business complex.
“This ‘love fest’ justified missing the holiday with my family,” said Roy
Ruby, Project Manager for RYEBREAD Architects. He designed the exterior to
seamlessly blend in with the ‘Late American’ style of the existing low-rise
office campus developed by GRIFFIN CONSTRUCTION over the last twenty years.
Pitched roofs, natural materials & earth tones echo the surrounding buildings.
At the same time, a raised entry volume will create a unique identity for the
new structure.
Previously, RYEBREAD Architects was responsible for GRIFFIN’s nearby 500
Building. It stands as a gateway to the entire Centerton Square development.
Developed by GRIFFIN CONSTRUCTION as a commercial rental property, it was 100%
occupied upon its completion in 2005.
“With the current availability of materials & labor, and interest rates low,
this is a great time to build,” explains Ken Griffin. Construction of their
latest building is expected to start this summer, and be ready for occupancy
in early 2009.
