The project consists the conversion of an existing classroom to a Culinary Arts Classroom at the Lindenwold High School, 801 Egg Harbor Road, Lindenwold, New Jersey 08021.
Construction shall begin on or about 13 June 2024 and shall be substantially completed on or before 23 August 2024.
Bid Forms, Instructions to Bidders, Specifications and other bid documents will be made available and may be examined by Bidders from the office of REGAN YOUNG ENGLAND BUTERA, PC; 456 High Street, Mt. Holly, New Jersey 08060 during regular business hours. Additional information, including a list of (registered) Bidders, can be obtained from the Architect’s web site (www.RYEBREAD.com). There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee for the bidding documents, payable by check, credit card, or cash. Checks shall be made payable to Regan Young England Butera. An electronic copy of the specifications and drawings will be made available to Bidders; hard copies of the bidding documents will not be provided. Access to the electronic documents will be emailed to the Bidder upon receipt of their payment and all of the following information:

Bidders who have received the bidding documents must submit substitution requests or any questions concerning the project to Regan Young England Butera on Section 006001 BIDDER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION included in the Project Manual no later than 1:00 PM on 20 February 2024. The Architect will not respond to verbal questions nor to those from other than Prime Bidders.
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Department of Property and Management Construction, prior to the date that bids are received. Any bids submitted under the terms of New Jersey Statutes not including a copy of a valid and active Pre-qualified/Classification Certificate and New Jersey Department of Labor Contractor Registration Certificate may be rejected as being non-responsive to bid requirements.
In accordance with N.J.S.A 18A:18A-18, this Project is to be constructed as a single General Construction Bid (DPMC Classification C009 – General Contractor Alterations & Additions) for all the work, goods, and services required to complete the public building to be included in the single contract. The General Contractor must be qualified in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq.
The following DPMC-Classified Trade Subcontractors) are required for this Project and must be submitted at the time of the bid submission. The listed trade subcontractors below must be qualified in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq.
C029 Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron.
C030 Plumbing, Gas Fitting and all kindred work.
C032 Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and equipment (HVACr).
Bids must be addressed to the LINDENWOLD BOARD OF EDUCATION; 801 Egg Harbor Road, Lindenwold, New Jersey 08021; Attn.: Kathleen Huder, Business Administrator/Board Secretary. All bids received at the designated location on or before the designated time and date in this advertisement (or any addenda hereto), shall be opened and read publicly at the above time and date. The Bidder assumes full responsibility for appropriate delivery (via whatever means, including mail) on or before the designated time and to the designated location. If the bid for this Project is to be mailed, the bid envelope shall clearly reference the “CULINARY ARTS CLASSROOM ALTERATION BID PROPOSAL” on the outside of the envelope.

The LINDENWOLD BOARD OF EDUCATION has the right to award the contracts within sixty (60) days of the bid opening and reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions, as may be permitted by law.
Bidders are advised that the Lindenwold Board of Education reserves the right to cancel this Project at any time due to any unforeseen circumstances that arise in connection with any Public Health Emergency and funding related to same. By submitting a bid, Prime Bidders waive, on behalf of themselves and their Subcontractors, any potential claim for increased costs, loss of profits, delay damages, or other similar consequential and direct damages incurred due to the Lindenwold Board of Education Termination of the Project as permitted by law.
