This is an SDA Funded Project.
Bid Forms, Instructions to Bidders, Specifications and other bid documents will be made available and may be examined by Bidders from the office of REGAN YOUNG ENGLAND BUTERA, PC; 456 High Street, Mt. Holly, New Jersey 08060 during regular business hours, (beginning on 05 August 2024). Additional information, including a list of (registered) Bidders, can be obtained from the Architect’s web site (www.RYEBREAD.com). Subcontractors and vendors may obtain copies from registered Bidders. There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee for the bidding documents, payable by check, credit card, or cash. Checks shall be made payable to REGAN YOUNG ENGLAND BUTERA, PC. An electronic copy of the specifications and drawings will be made available to Bidders; hard copies of the bidding documents will not be provided. Access to the electronic documents will be emailed to the Bidder upon receipt of their payment and all of the following information:
Business name.
Contact person.
Business mailing address.
Business phone number.
Business facsimile number.
Email address for whom bid documents are to be sent.
The project consists of, but is not limited to, the phased replacement of two (2) existing air handler units that service the gymnasium as outlined in Section 230000 – Special Requirements for HVAC Work of the Project Manual. The Work shall be performed during second-shift hours as indicated in Section 011000 – Summary of the Project Manual.
The Project shall be awarded on or before 11 September 2024. Bidder shall note that long-lead shop drawings are required to be initiated immediately after the issuance of Section 007100 – Notice to Proceed so that those items can be ordered as soon as possible. On-site construction shall be second-shift hours as indicated in Section 011000 – Summary of the Project Manual and can begin on or about 23 September 2024 and shall be substantially completed on or before 09 May 2025.

Registered Bidders must submit substitution requests or any questions concerning the project to the Architect on Form 006001 BIDDER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION included in the Project Manual no later than 1:00 PM Tuesday, 20 August 2024. The Architect will not respond to questions received by those other than registered Bidders.
Any and all contracts awarded by the District to a contractor in connection with work performed on the Salem High School are assignable to the New Jersey School Development Authority.
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Department of Property and Management Construction, prior to the date that bids are received. Any bids submitted under the terms of New Jersey Statutes not including a copy of a valid and active Pre-qualified/Classification Certificate and New Jersey Department of Labor Contractor Registration Certificate may be rejected as being non-responsive to bid requirements.

The SALEM CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION has the right to award the contracts within sixty (60) days of the bid opening and reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions, as may be permitted by law.
Bidders are advised that the SALEM CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION reserves the right to cancel this Project at any time due to any unforeseen circumstances that arise in connection with any Public Health Emergency and funding related to same. By submitting a bid, Bidders waive, on behalf of themselves and their Subcontractors, any potential claim for increased costs, loss of profits, delay damages, or other similar consequential and direct damages incurred due to the SALEM CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION Termination of the Project.
